Over the last few years I have indulged and very much enjoyed the development of oil painting and colour having attended workshops and online classes. I’ve attempted to grasp a different style being challenged with large brushes, pallet knife and lots of colour which I’m not used to combining having normally painted pets realistically. But also this has allowed me to get a likeness with oil too with my pet portraits. A more sketchy style drawing, realising I don’t have to have detail to create character and likeness.
